There’s a simple way for you to help your child succeed: Join PTA.
The National Parent Teacher Association (PTA) helps parents, students, school staff, and communities work together to share ideas about programs and activities that benefit children. Our PTA provides information and resources that strengthen the connections between children, parents, schools, and the community.
At Pine Forest, the PTA supports events that:
- Build community, such as the New Family Tea and the Back-to-School picnic
- Provide information, like Parent Education Evenings and the Whispering Pines Newsletter
- Raise money to provide additional funding for classrooms and school grounds, at WinterFaire and the Spring Gala
- Enable parent participation by providing child care at PTA business and general meetings and Parent Education evenings
PTA is America’s number one parent involvement resource. By becoming a member, you will not only help your child in one of the most important ways possible but also receive valuable benefits:
- Online parenting resources and other materials on issues relating to children’s education, health, and well-being
- E-newsletters on parenting and legislative issues
- Special offers and discounts from corporate supporters of PTA
A diverse membership is key to a strong PTA.
Membership is open to anyone concerned about children. We strive to include teachers, staff members, parents, grandparents, community members, and students. Membership materials will be availabe online soon. Meanwhile, forms can be aquired in the main office
and returned in the Wednesday Student Express envelope or in the PTA basket in the main office.
